FAQ

Q. Can my child play if I don't live in Erie County?

A.  Absolutely.  All of Bay Area Soccer League and Ohio Storm Futbol Club programs are open to all players in North Central Ohio.  


Q. What does the U in the Age groups stand for? 

A. Under.  If your child plays in U8, the ages of the children will be between 6 and 8 depending on the birthday.  Check under the Rec League tab, under age chart for age ranges and related divisions.

 

Q. Does BASL provide soccer cleats and/or shin guards for players?

A. No

 

Q. For Saturday Rec Soccer, does our child have to have soccer cleats to play?

A. We recommend they have soccer cleats to play but do not need to have them participate.

 

Q. Does my child need to have shin guards?

A. Yes, all players are required to have shin guards to play soccer.  They must be covered by socks worn up and over the guard or by long pants.

 

Q. Are games played if it's raining?

A. Yes, soccer games are played in the rain.  The only exception is if there is lightning present. 

 

Q. How do I know if a Rec game is canceled?

A. We will post the information on our home page, email those who have registered with our  site, and we post it on our Facebook page.  Please  make sure your information is updated on our site.  We encourage you to like us on Facebook.

 

Q.  What is Bay Area Soccer Leagues refund policy?

A.  From sign up until the 2nd game of the season, BASL will issue refunds (less a $15.00 processing fee) if the player must drop out for any reason. After the 2nd game NO REFUNDS will be given.
