During these times there are guidance’s established by the CDC, the Ohio Department of Health and the Erie County Health Department which we all need to adhere to in order to play this fall. If we do not follow these guidelines, we run the risk of our season being cancelled. We need your compliance to ensure that BASL has a successful Fall Rec Soccer season. The safety of everyone involved is our primary concern.
If you, your child, or anyone in your immediate family has symptoms or has been around someone who has symptoms of Covid 19, DO NOT COME TO SOCCER.
Many precautions have been taken and communications in place to ensure the best experiences for the players, coaches and spectators. Below are the guidance’s which we are all to follow.
• Coaches, spectators, officials and staff MUST wear face coverings at all times, and players 11 and older must wear face coverings when not on the field of play.
• For spectators at the fields, six-feet social distancing MUST be maintained between individuals/family/house hold groups staying in your area.
• No shared water bottles, each athlete will be required to bring their own hydration vessel. • As you leave your car maintain six-feet of social distancing.
•No congregating will occur before or after games. Eliminated post game handshakes. Eliminated post game snacks that parents traditionally bring to eliminate sharing of items and post-game congregating.
• Sanitation of restrooms will take place between sessions. Only restrooms open on Saturday mornings will be the fixed restrooms by the Kinship House and the Portable Restrooms near the operations tent.
•Equipment is not to be shared without disinfecting. The equipment used is for your team only during your game time and will be disinfected during the week before your next Saturday’s game.
Below are the current guidelines from the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health for Symptoms, Slowing and Stopping the Spread of COVID-19. The coach’s checklist is attached so you have awareness to what our volunteer coaches are doing to follow the proper guidelines.
Additional signage will be placed throughout the park during the game times. Additionally, we may continue to share messaging throughout the year to support the communication requirements.
Please minimize the number of family members coming to view games.
Please leave your pets at home. While they are lovable, they encourage younger people to come over and interact with you and your pet.
If you have multiple players on different teams at different times, please keep them with you when it is not their time to play.
