10u Jr Chiefs use big third inning to beat Triple Play , 16-0

The 10u Jr. Chiefs are 2-0 after a win over the Dahlonega Rockets and Triple Play.

On Wednesday, March 2nd, they beat the Rockets with a score of 11-6.

On Tuesday, March 8th the 10u Jr. Chiefs took the field against Triple Play at Chestatee High School. They beat Triple Play in three innings by a score of 16-0 after an 11-run explosion in the third inning.

The 10u Jr Chiefs scored in the third on a two-run double by Griffin Tully, an RBI single by Brady Curl, a groundout by Michael Gagliano, an RBI double by Jack Pittard, an RBI single by Jesse Blackman, an RBI single by Coleman Wylie, a three-run double by Drew Zablotny, and an RBI single by Griffin.

Griffin racked up two RBIs on three hits for the 10u Jr Chiefs.

The 10u Jr Chiefs' Brighton Cux kept Triple Play off the scoreboard for all 2 2/3 innings he was on the mound. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out four.

The 10u Jr Chiefs easily handled Triple Play pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

The 10u Jr Chiefs never trailed after scoring five runs in the second on three singles.
